Sundays, 10, 17, 24 June & 8 July, 1-2:15pm
This four week course will establish all the fundamentals needed to give you the confidence to practice meditation. It will explore both mindfulness and awareness, using the breath as a support to help settle the mind, as well as exploring just allowing yourself to be, to rest, just as you are. Even if you have previous meditation experience, you will benefit from new insights and approaches and receive support in developing or continuing a daily meditation habit.
There will be lots of opportunities for personal attention in a warm, gentle, open and safe atmosphere infused with the spirit of self-compassion.
The course includes:
— the actual weekly class offering an opportunity to learn new aspects of the meditation or compassion practice, time to practice together as a group, as well as space to share experiences and ask questions.
— a suggested practice programme for the week in-between the classes (only around 10 minutes a day) including access to guided meditations on audio, as well as practical tips, resources and advice for integrating the practice into your daily life.
Previous students have found that the interaction and connections they make with their fellow meditators in the courses is incredibly rich, and also that having a practice focus for the week helps bring the benefits of the practice into their everyday experience, including their other yoga classes!
